Director General Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), Shahmir Khan Bhutto, visited the Public Relations, Structure, Legal, and Demolition Sections at the SBCA Club House. He was accompanied by Director Finance Mushtaq Ahmed soomro.
On this occasion, he expressed heartfelt condolences to Public Relations Officer Shakeel Ahmed Dogar on the passing of his father, senior Advocate Nisar Ahmed Dogar, and offered prayers for the departed soul.
Furthermore, the Director General reviewed various matters and told the concerned officers and staff present that a large-scale campaign to eliminate illegal constructions is underway, in which these three sections hold special importance. He emphasized that complete eradication and permanent prevention of illegal constructions – which are causing destruction to the city’s infrastructure – will be ensured. He directed that all capabilities be fully utilized to demonstrate transparent, result-oriented performance, to communicate progress prominently to the public, and to address legal challenges effectively.
He further stated that within a short period, the practical performance of the Authority has almost eliminated misleading news and rumors. For complete success in this regard, he urged citizens to play their role, avoid investing in illegal constructions, and promptly report any unauthorized construction on residential plots around them to SBCA – either manually or through the Smart Complaint Redressal Mechanism Cell on the official portal.
